Consultations With Partners, Parents, or Family Members of Someone Involved in a High Demand Group or Cult (See my High Demand Group Section via home page)

The conflict resolution work I offer overlaps with family and couple therapy. Depending on individual goals,  I collaboratively work to help each member identify and change dysfunctional patterns, and gain relief from rigid roles. We focus on understanding each other's feelings, needs, and thoughts, including commonalities and differences in order to move forward with healthier engagement.  This often includes using effective communication skills, understanding boundaries, self-care, adjusting expectations and knowing limits.  Not all problems can be resolved to one person's liking, but overall agreements can be reached that lead to healthier relationships, respectful of individual needs and stages in relationships that result in a better quality of life -- if both partners work on it. I do not offer couple therapy with a domestic violent partner .  This is counter-indicated and can increase  abuse, manipulation, and other harm.
